Museo verticale del Torrazzo
(Vertical Museum of the Torrazzo)

113 metres high, the Torrazzo is the highest brick-bell tower in Europe. While climbing the 502 steps to reach the top of the tower to enjoy a breath-taking view of the city, the visitors will come across five themed rooms with ancient tools narrating how mechanics and science developed in Cremona along the time. From the simple “shepherd’s rod” to the marvellous and extremely complex mechanism of the astronomical clock. 

Museo del Violino
(Violin Museum)

Amati, Guarneri, Ruggeri and Stradivari… the violin, the string musical instrument whose sound most resembles to the human voice, was born in this city shaped by the able hands of these expert lute-makers. In the casket room of the museum, the 12 most ancient and precious pieces of the art of making lute of Cremona’s descent are carefully kept. A multimedia and sensory path will narrate the visitors a time-honoured tradition still pursuing nowadays.
